Learn To Become Your Own Doctor (And Why It Matters)

Intro

I’m so happy to bring to you this week’s edition as we have a killer podcast episode and an interesting insight I’ve been thinking about recently. I also suggest an idea that will help you take action today and a life principle I live by.

So, with all that said let’s dive in… ↓

Latest Podcast

My latest podcast episode.

In this episode, I’m joined by Rich Ahlers who is a passionate educator with over two decades of professional experience spanning healthcare, health tech, nutrition, mind-body medicine, and functional and integrative practices.

We discuss the importance of becoming your own doctor and taking ownership of your health. We explore what this means on a practical level and talk about the dangers of relying solely on pharmaceutical interventions and the importance of understanding that we have more control over our health than we think.

Rich emphasises the importance of living in tune with nature and using health tech as a supplement to our lifestyle choices. He cautions against becoming obsessive with wearable devices and highlights the need for discipline and routine in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

I often get asked what episode I recommend. I can now recommend my conversation with Rich Ahlers, as it’s one of my all-time favourite episodes!

1 Insight To Consider

Thought-provoking insights to think about.

I’ve recently been introduced toNeville Goddard who was a writer, speaker, and considered a mystic by many. His work focused on exploring human consciousness and the power of awareness up until he passed away in 1972.

One of the concepts he was known for and shared was howevery version of ourselves is not only possible but has already happened — we “just”need to believe and live in accordance with it.

This is similar to the Law of Attraction or the Law of Resonance but with some subtle differences that make a big difference.

I got it put it to me this way…

Have the courage to live from your imagination!

This got me thinking…

Is living from our imagination the best way to live our best lives? What do you think?

I think there’s something in this concept because what I know about every human being who has done something out of the ordinary, whether that’s Walt Disney, Steve Jobs, or others, is that they had this ability to think beyond reality, to live from a place of possibility, harness their inner wisdom and creativity and never fearing to dream too big!

Plus, and I think this is key…

They didn’t believe what they wanted to create was not possible. It was just a matter of time.

Now, for many of us, this is a challenging concept to grasp due to our conditioning and beliefs and for me it’s one I’m keen to explore further and put into practice by acting and living in a wayas if my life vision has already unfolded–aka my best life.

I think we can all apply this in a similar way by answering a few key questions such as if I was to live my best life how would I structure my time? What would I do each day? Who would I spend time with? How would I respond to life’s events? And, so on…

These questions (and questions like them) are vital to consider to live our best lives.

Then, the challenge is to implement what you discover and“just decide” that you’re going to live your best life no matter what…

1 Idea To Act On

Simple actions to improve your health & life.

Oftentimes, we can get in our own way…

Well, I know I can 😬

So, in the spirit of living our best lives, what is one thing you’ve been putting off that you can do today?

Think about what that one thing might be…

I’ve found that it’s not usually very hard to think about…

Then, name it out loud and get it done… TODAY!

Try it. And, let me know how you get on.

Principle Of Life

Principles & reminders to help you live your best life.

#07: Only focus on what you can control and what you can do today — let go of the rest.

Until next week,
