Intro

In this email, we talk Ayurveda as I’m joined by an Ayurveda expert to dive deeper into this ancient wisdom and how to apply it to our modern lives. We explore an insight I’ve had around love, and I share an idea to help you make way for the new! Plus, as always a life principle to help you live your best life.

So, without further ado let’s dive in… ↓

Latest Podcast

My latest podcast episode.

In this episode, I’m joined by Monica Gisella, the founder of Prana With Love and an Ayurveda Teacher who helps to guide people back to harmony within their body and mind through the power of Ayurveda.

Ayurveda has been mentioned a few times in recent episodes and these emails but not in the way that I discuss with Monica in today’s episode.

Monica shares her journey with Ayurveda, explaining its origins and roots. We discuss the concept of mind-body types which is a foundational principle within the Ayurveda health system.

We explore the contrasts between Ayurveda and Eastern medicine compared with Western medicine and interventions and question if there is a place for them both. Finally, we discuss a lifestyle choice-first approach to health and how to implement the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda into our modern lives.

1 Insight To Consider

Thought-provoking insights to think about.

Think about it, our energy can fluctuate and money comes and goes but the one universal thing is that no matter how much we lose we have an infinite capacity to love.

It’s innate within us, we can’t put a lid on it, or say I’m only going to love X amount or X amount of people. Love doesn’t work like that.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a love expert.

But, it’s an insight and realisation I’ve come to recently as I feel more into the vibration of love, gratitude, appreciation, and the abundance of life itself.

1 Idea To Act On

Simple actions to improve your health & life.

There is a famous old saying that goes “Let go of the old to make room for the new” and the more I go through life, the more I believe this to be true.

Like, how can we expect new things to come into our lives whether that be new relationships, new experiences, new opportunities, or material wealth if we keep holding onto them?

This is why I do a massive cleanout at least twice a year. I go through all of my personal belongings and if I haven’t used them in the last 3 months, or don’t think I will use them in the next 3 months I get rid of them.

I get rid of them by selling, donating, or throwing them away–often through recyclable means if I can so I can make way for the new.

I must say every time I do this I feel more spacious and relaxed. It’s one habit I do to lead a minimalistic lifestyle.

Sure, personal belongings and having material wealth feel nice. But, do we really need half of the stuff that we own?

I’ve found from my experience probably not and having too much stuff just ways us down–again I’m talking from personal experience so maybe you feel different but so often I see people hang onto things that they haven’t used and won’t use in the coming months.

Now, I’m all for keeping belongings that mean something to us. But, only the deep stuff. The stuff that really does mean something to us. And, I think oftentimes this is only going to be a few things.

I’m sharing with this you today because I’m due a clear-out. June is upon us and it’s time to go through all of my personal belongings and get rid of anything that doesn’t serve me anymore!

I’ve found this makes way for the new 😊

I don’t know what the ‘new’ is yet. But I trust it will make its way into my life in due course.

So, my suggestion to you is to… try it…

Go through your personal belongings over the next month and have a clearout. If my “3-month rule” is too short of a time period for you, no problem. Clear out anything you haven’t used in the past year or 18 months. You choose.

The main focus here is to let go of the old. To let go of old energy and one way I’ve found to do that is to have a clear-out of the “stuff” we accumulate!

Plus, if you decide to sell anything you’ll also make a few bobs too. A win-win, don’t you think?! 😉

Try it and if you feel inspired take a photo of all your clear-out, share it on Instagram (or a platform of your choice) to inspire others, and tag me–my handle is @reallukeburrows on all platforms.

Oh, and have fun while doing it! 😉
